Herbal Medicine
The Leasenby doctors use a variety of treatments to improve patients’ health including Herbal medicine. Herbal medicine, also called botanical medicine or phytomedicine, refers to using a plant's seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes.

Using herbs, homeopathic medicine and nutrition allow the doctors to treat pain and illness without the harmful side effects of pharmaceutical drugs. Herbal remedies are also seen by many as a treatment to be preferred to medical compounds which have been industrially produced.

Clinical research shows the value of herbal medicine in the treating and preventing disease. A survey released by the
National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine focused on who used complementary and alternative medicines (CAM), what was used, and why it was used. According to this survey, herbal therapy, or use of natural products other than vitamins and minerals, was the most commonly used of alternative medicines.
